AIRBORNE

I can't believ this, but I am goign to Airborne school this summer from June28-July 21st. Iwasn't sure I wanted to do something liek this, but I had a guaranteed slot, so I took it. It is funny, because Iwas probably one of the few peoepl who was liek I don't knwo if I really want to go. It gets even funnier. I have never been in an airplane. In fact flying down to Georgia will be my first time in an airplane It is kind of weird to think that the second time I am in an airplane, I will be jumping out. I don't even like the repel tower much, because heights aren't my favorite thing. I just figured, that I shouldn't turn down an oppurtunity of a guaranteed slot. Hopefully I will get my jump wings, that will be pretty cool. I knwo eevryone who knows me is probably pretty shocked, but so am I. I stillwonder why i am doing it osmetimes. it will be a good learning experience and hopefully fun.

New Car

Guess what all, I got a new car. The old Cavalier finally died or sort of. I went to get my friendly inspection done, and the mechanic showed me how rusted the underside was. Basically he poked a hole in the rocker panel. So needless to say the car is doen. It has served its purpose. I have upgraded to a sporty little Mazda. it is a nic elittle car, and believe it or not it is older than the cavalier. It is a Mazda MX-6. The front is like a typical car, but it has a spoiler fin on the back and power sunroof and tinted windows. Not to mention the thing drives really well. It has turbo engine, so it gets nice power and has lots of nice little features. It will be nice to have something a little more reliable and it is awesome that it is fun to drive.

Norwich Marches On

I decided to take a break for the endless stream of studying and papers I have been doing to write soemthing. it is nothing special, just some more musings from my life here at Norwich. Lately I feel liek pulling my hair out. I can't stand the monotony that is Norwich. When will Spring break get here, or even spring itself for that matter? Days feel like weeks and weeks like months. i went home for a weekend back at the beginnig of februaury, and it seems like it has been much longer. Christmas break seems like a distant memory. Only eight more long days and I will just have to keep pluging on in the same robotic daily rotation. Thank God for some things which bring a relief and some variationto my days. Riding is one of those things. I love it so much, however I would love for Spring to be here so that I oculd shed the many layers that i have been using just to stay warm. I am planning on goign up again on Saturday, to get an iroduction to vaulting(standing on the back of a horse and riding) I can't wait. Also knowing that we are making plans for next year ha sbeen in a way an encouragement that the end is near. I recived my scores for the NCO course I did and was pleased, but now I have to appear before a board and try to convince them that I am capable of doing the job i have applied for. So atleast that will occupy my mind even if it is in a bad way. Is it summer yet? I wan tto be free again. I want to find a job that will be suitable to my liking and enjoyable. I want to see my friends who have like me been and are now gone. Oh well I will just have to keep busy till then.
